This decision was not made lightly and many where involved in making the final. This was the correct course of action

The 2014 Raccoon Rally Road Race will not take place this year due to road conditions in several sections of the standard course. True there are many terrific sections of the standard course that are in great shape certain sections are much higher risk based on pre-rides. In conjunc...tion with the Buffalo Bicycling Club we srtive to adhere to all safety standards and do not feel road conditions are satisfactory for hosting this years Road Race. Park crews are avidly working on many repairs from a significantly challenging winter season but unfortunately roads won't be repaired until after the Rally. All pre-registrations will be refunded for the Road Race. Please help spread the word and we'll be ready for 2015 with fresh pavement in these areas according to Park staff. All other Rally events including the Trials, Cross Country Races and Kids Races on Sunday are un-affected and will be the greatest to date!
The Great news: We've added a Summer Cross/Short Track race at Camp Allegany on Saturday morning! Break out the cross bikes or mountain bikes (no bar ends) and get your fix for some amazing swag & prizes in lieu of the Road Race being called.
