There was a slight headwind on the 10 km back to the finish line, but there were 4 records  broken, and 2 new ones established in previously unrecorded categories.

Jay Joslyn recorded the fastest time of the day, 25 minutes 45 seconds, which did not break the overall 20 km TT record of 25 minutes 27 seconds, which he set in 2007, but was fast enough to set a record in the Master Men 35-39 category. Jay broke the record of infamous Time Trialer turned farmer Wayne Luther. Wayne's previous record time was 26 minutes 21 seconds and had stood since 1995. Wayne still holds the record for Master Men 40-44 at 27 minutes 44 seconds, but that may only be safe for 5 more years.

Most significant was longtime BBC supporter Ron Spohn riding high on his vintage high-wheeler. I'm sure there were more than a few double-takes from passing motorists as Ron completed the 20 km course in 50 minutes 8 seconds, establishing a new category and record.

Morgan Lytle established a record for Junior Women 11 yrs. old with a time of 53 minutes 57 seconds, while her father Scott (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak) posted the second-fastest time of the day at 27 minutes 49 seconds.

Larry Reade (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak) added yet another TT record to his resume. Larry broke the MM 75-79 record with a time of 35 minutes 22 seconds. Larry now holds 5 age group 20 km TT records and the fixed gear record.

Brian Rohr (Wells Fargo Advisors) broke the MM 45-49 record by a mere 2 seconds with a time of 28 minutes 28 seconds, breaking the record set last year by Stuart Green (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak).

Finally, the last record-breaking time of the day belonged to Traci Mariniello (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak). Her time of 30 minutes 39 seconds smashed the previous record of 35 minutes 22 seconds for Master Women 40-44 previously set by Melissa Nicosia (Job One Enterprise/Managed Care) in 2006.
