This just in from the Tennessee Highland Rimm Cycling Classic. In the Cat. 4 stage race, Paul Mesi score a 1st place in the stage 2 up hill TT. The TT was 2.5 miles at a 8% grade. In the morning road race, a 55 miler with 38 starters, he placed 7th, making the winning break of 9 riders. The next day, in the final stage, a 30 min criterium, he finished 5th, making him the the 3rd overall for the stage race. Paul's TT time would have placed him 13th in the PRO 1/2 race.
And this past weekend, Joe Cooke won his second USCF race of the year, this time as a Cat. 3 in the Cat 3/4 Michelob Ultra Downtown Erie Criterium in Erie, PA. Joe broke away with a couple of laps to go and held on for the win.
Also, at the Erie Criterium, Scott Hunt posted a win in the Cat. 4/5 race.
